Newest Creative Inspiration: Duarte DesignDuarte Design is on a mission to change the world, one PowerPoint presentation at a time. Nancy and Mark Duarte, the wife-and-husband team behind Al Gore’s famous slide show about global warming, have built a thriving business out of creating high-impact PowerPoint and Keynote presentations. Their company has become the go-to presentation resource for some of high technology’s most visible companies, such as Adobe, Cisco, and HP. Nancy will be the first to tell you that it’s not the technology that matters most, but the story. This installment of Creative Inspirations tells the story of how this power duo elevated PowerPoint presentations to arguably the most compelling form of modern media. 6th Annual AIGA Design Legends Gala lynda.com is a proud sponsor of the Design Legends Gala 09, an annual fundraising event honoring those whose work inspires designers of all ages, sets the bar for creativity and innovation, and defines the design profession as we know it. The AIGA medal will be awarded to Pablo Ferro, Carin Goldberg and Doyald Young at this wonderful celebration. We’ve secured a table for 12, and have 10 seats available to individual donors who would like to visit and dine with lynda.com founders, Bruce and Lynda. Because of our level of sponsorship, there are a few extras like attending a VIP reception beforehand, meeting the medalists, and attending an after party. Cost $400.00 per person– tax-deductible. Lynda published a blog post that includes more information about this event.
