Challenge: Improve the animation

Video: Challenge: Improve the animation

This animated cart that we've created works quite well. But I think there's still a little more room for improvement. And that's what this challenge is about. So there are two main points. One is, the image stays the same size. And just sort of unceremoniously disappears at the end. It would look nicer if it got smaller, and faded out on its way over to the cart. That's part one, just to enhance it visually. Part two is about the feedback. Now, the animation is nice feedback to show us what we're doing, as we're adding stuff. But the cart isn't actually reflecting any of these changes, so.

Challenge: Improve the animation

This animated cart that we've created works quite well. But I think there's still a little more room for improvement. And that's what this challenge is about. So there are two main points. One is, the image stays the same size. And just sort of unceremoniously disappears at the end. It would look nicer if it got smaller, and faded out on its way over to the cart. That's part one, just to enhance it visually. Part two is about the feedback. Now, the animation is nice feedback to show us what we're doing, as we're adding stuff. But the cart isn't actually reflecting any of these changes, so.

Without getting too complicated, let's add a message here. That says, added the name of the thing, we just added to the cart. So when the object that we're throwing over to the cart arrives, I have a little message for each one in this cart area. So to recap, here is our animation challenge for enhancing this cart. First we want to refine the image that we're animating, specifically fade it out and shrink it as it moves to its target. And then when it gets there and disappears, show a little message that says, added one, and then the name of the flower in the cart each time one is added. That's your challenge, good luck.
