(Music playing.) Hi! I?m Garrick Chow and welcome to iTunes 9 Essential Training. In this course I?m going to you through all the most important things you need to know about this latest version of Apple?s free and incredibly popular music and media management program for both Macs and Windows. We?ll start with the basics and introduce you to the iTunes 9 interface so that you?ll be able to find your way around the iTunes window and its controls. You?ll learn how to manage and organize your music and video files and how to create playlists, smart playlists that use the iTunes DJ, and how to use the new Genius Mixes feature.
I will also be discussing how to share your music over a network as well as how to enable iTunes 9 new Home Sharing feature which lets you copy files from one computer to another, and we?ll also look at shopping on the iTunes Store, how to subscribe to podcasts to iTunes and we will wrap things up with a chapter on managing your iPod, iPod touch or iPhone with iTunes. Even if you?re a longtime iTunes user, you?ll probably learn several new things about iTunes 9 that you didn?t know before. Let?s get started!
