Video: Ordering prints

If you don't want to make your own prints at home using any jet printer, you can order them online using Apple's photo service. Let's order a few prints right now. I'm going to open up the Costa Maya event here and I'd like to order a few of these pyramid prints. I Click the first one, hold down the Cmd key now we have selection of three and then I go over to Order Prints. Now make sure that you are online, so that your computer can connect to the online service. The next thing you want to do if this is the first time that you have ordered prints just Click the Account Info box. If you have a .Mac account you can enter your password here. If you don't have a .Mac account, just Click on Create Account, give the information, and then you can sign in and you are ready to go.

If you don't want to make your own prints at home using any jet printer, you can order them online using Apple's photo service. Let's order a few prints right now. If you don't have a .Mac account, just Click on Create Account, give the information, and then you can sign in and you are ready to go.

I do have a .Mac account; I'll enter my information in here. And I'm going to sign in. After you sign in you are presented with your account information, so you can verify it, Click Done and now we are ready to go. The images that you want to make prints of are listed over here on the left hand side. And then you have a number of options from 4 x 6 up to 20 x 30, 4 x 6, 5 x 7, Wallet and 8 x 10, you can make from most images that you capture with your digital camera. If you don't have a high resolution digital camera, chances are that the 16 x 20 or 20 x 30 might not turn out as well as you would like. So keep in mind that you need at least a 10 mega pixel camera or better for these size prints. Right now I'm just going to order a few 4 x 6. So we'll order two of these, three of these, and I'll get three of these also and maybe (1) 5 x 7. Down here you will see the subtotal that adds up all the prints that you have ordered. And there is a standard shipping fee of 2 dollars and 49 cents. So you want to make sure that you group your photos in as large an order as possible, you don't want them just be ordering one here and two there because a 19 cent print will cost you 2 dollars and 49 cents to have it shipped and that does not make very much sense. Once you have your order the way that you want, all you have to do is Click the Buy Now button. iPhoto will send the order to Kodak service and within a few days, one to three business days, your prints will show up in your mail box. It's really that easy.
