Now that I'm sure I'm ready to order my book, it's time to submit it for printing. This is a very straightforward process; however, I recommend that you'd go back and do the quality control check that we looked at earlier. When you're confident that you're ready to order, the process is very straightforward. Just make sure you have an internet connection, preferably a fast one, and if you're running on a laptop, I recommend that you leave the laptop plugged into the wall so you don't accidently drop the data connection due to the battery running out in the middle of an upload.
Here's how it works. I'm just going to go ahead and get rid of these books that I don't need really quick and make sure that I'm uploading just the one that's finished. All right, my book is set, it's got 46 pages and everything is in there that I need. I will click the Buy Book Button. In this case it is indicating that I have some Default Text, but that's okay. I am not using that Default Text and it won't print, so I'll click Continue. At this point, you're being prompted for some extra information.
First off, you'll want to enter the zip code for the delivery. You could then choose a Shipping Method. Express Shipping costs more, but you'll see that it will be delivered more quickly. So now it's saying that it's going to be Available to Ship in 1-5 Days and that the Express Shipping will be delivering it much faster. Two days versus typically three to five days for shipping; however, you'll see the price change.
Remember, the Available to Ship is not how long it's going to take to get the book, that's how long before the book is printed. If you're ordering during busy times like holidays, that date can go up. If you're ordering normally, you'll typically see 1-5 business days. Enter in the quantity that you want, give it a look over, when you're ready, click the Check Out Button. This will prompt you to Sign In to your account.
You'll be prompted to enter the security code for your credit card. This information can generally be found on the front or the back of the card near the signature panel and it will be either a three- or a four-digit number. If you're unsure where to find it, just click the Question Mark (?) here and you'll get a nice suggestion on how to locate it. Choose your shipping method, and if necessary, you can click the Edit Shipping Button to adjust where the things are shipped to.
This allows you to go through and customize the information and make sure that you indicate if it's a Business Address or if you need to ship to a Military Address overseas. There are exceptions for those who are in the government traveling who need to get deliveries overseas, even if they have a U.S. billing address. The policies for individual countries will vary though, so make sure you take a look at some of the policies that Apple will prompt you for. When you're ready, just give it a look over, make sure that the Shipping Address is correct and the payment information, then you could scroll down.
If you'd like to see the Refund Policy, you can click, and it will open up your Web browser and you'll notice a very comprehensive Policy about Returns. I recommend you read through this to get familiar about what's involved with ordering from an Apple Store. Switching back to iPhoto, when I'm ready, I could click the Place Order Button. This will process the order and then upload it to Apple Servers so it's ready to be printed. You'll notice that it takes a little while as the order is assembled, and then the File will be uploaded.
If you change your mind during this upload process, you can click the Cancel Button and you will not be processed or charged. However, once the Assembly is complete and the Upload has been processed, you will be billed for the book. Once you've ordered it, you will be paying for it.
