I'm Jess Stratton and welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers. In the last video, I showed you how easy it is to connect all your storage drives and cloud services to your Jolidrive. In this video, I'm going to show you how to access your Jolidrive from your iPad. Now, I've already downloaded the app and you can see it right here. It's called Jolicloud and you can find it in the App Store. So, we connect up to the Jolicloud service, and that's how you access your Jolidrive. I'm going to tap on Jolicloud to get into it, and, as you can see, it looks exactly like the web version, which is very neat.
Now, I'm all logged in, because I've already used this service before. Otherwise, you simply give your one user name and password - For Jolicloud. So on the left hand side, I can see all my storage services, like Dropbox and Google Drive, SkyDrive, and underneath that I can see additional services, like Facebook and Tumblr. So I'm connected up to SkyDrive right now, and you can see on the right hand side how easy it is and how similar it looks To that web version to navigate.
You can tap inside your folders, you can tap to open documents, and you can scroll and read. I can tap again on the screen and hit the back arrow on the top left-hand side, and it will take me back to SkyDrive. You can even tap into folders this way. I can see at the top where I am. For example, I'm in my documents fold in the meeting minutes sub folder. To get back to documents, I just simply tap documents. To get back to the root of Skydrive I can tap the cloud icon next to the word, documents.
Now the only limitation here is you'll notice that you can't do file manipulation like you could on the web. For example, I can't copy, rename, move, or email these files, but I can still access them and read them. And it's just as easy to add new services on the iPad as it is on the web. In fact, if I add and connect up new services here, it will reflect that the next time I go online on the web. So I'm going to tap add new services on the top left hand side of the screen. And just like the web, it takes me to that list.
So, let's keep scrolling, and I'm going to look for SlideShare again. I'll tap SlideShare once, and simply, tap the green connect button. Here's where I put in my SlideShare user name and password. And that's it. I can simply tap close, and I'm all connected. Now, the one thing that I didn't show you how to do in the last video, is how to disconnect a service if you don't want it on your Joli drive anymore. So I showed you that on the left hand side, you can navigate through all the connections. That you've mapped to in Jolidrive. But if you want to disconnect you still have to go back and tap add new services.
Instead of adding though, if you simply tap on a connection you already have, for example, if I tap on SlideShare and I can see that I'm already connected to it by the green check-mark in the bottom right hand side. i can also see that on YouTube, right in the middle of the screen here That I'm connected to that service. So I'm going to tap once on SlideShare and let's disconnect it. If I tap on that service, it's going to bring up the screen to show me what the account name that I've logged in with this. This is also useful if you do want to access SlideShare online but you can't remember your username, you can come back in here and see what it is.
But to disconnect, it's as simple as tapping the disconnect button in the top right hand side. It's going to ask me if I'm really sure I want to disconnect that service. And now, if I ever want to connect up again, I can simply tap the green connect button. This is also useful if you have two different SlideShare accounts and you want to connect up to a different one. So I'll tap close, for now. It brings me back to the setup screen, but if I want to get into any of my services, I can simply tap them on the left hand side. There's Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive and SkyDrive and of course, all of my services underneath that. So this is a great place to browse all of your files all at once.
When you're done simply close out of the app and there you go. So that's how to take advantage of all the aggregation services that Jolicloud has to offer. Sign up today. It's completely free and you can add all your accounts and access them in one place.
