Video: Welcome

(Music playing.) Hi! I'm Garrick Chow and welcome to iWeb '09 Essential Training. If you use any of the other iLife programs like iPhoto, iTunes, iMovie, or GarageBand, chances are good that you wanted to post the photos, movies, or music from these programs on the web, and that's pretty much where iWeb is there for. It gives you an easy way to share your media files on your own professional looking website. But of course, you are not limited to just sharing your personal photos and videos. iWeb '09 is a powerful and flexible enough tool to use to build just about any kind of site you need. In this training video, I'll be showing you how to create and publish everything from simple web pages containing text and basic shapes to more intricate pages containing photos, music, and video as well as how to create blogs and podcast pages.

iWeb '09 is the third version of iWeb that Apple has released and they have added some very cool new features to the program like FTP publishing, Facebook notifications, and adding and customizing widgets for your site. And I'll be sure to point out these features and other new stuff along the way. Now let's get started and see what iWeb can do.
