Adding an intro video
- The next step in building our book is to add an intro video or image to our book so that when a user opens our book in iBooks on their iPad, they're presented with a small intro piece. To add the intro piece, simply click in the sidebar on Intro Media. Here we'll simply drop in a movie. Before we drop in our movie, let's talk a little bit about how to actually prepare our video in the file format that it needs to be in. I'm going to go ahead and go over to my Exercise Files to the Chapter 01 folder, and I've got the EC_intro.m4v file. Video that you add to your iBook needs to be in the .m4v video format. If you have a video that you need to get into this format, you can open the video up with the QuickTime Player that shipped with your Mac. Go up to the FIle menu and select Export. And then choose iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Apple TV. When the sheet pulls down, look for the option that at the bottom says Up To 720p.
