Understanding file format options
In this video, I'd like to address the issue of file formats, and what the best file formats are to use for your Photoshop base color correction, how you might incorporate those into your Photoshop workflow. Lots of different file formats, multiple different workflows, so I want to focus really on our Photoshop base workflow. What's the best place to start in the file format? Well, I strongly recommend starting out with a raw file format, or a native file format, key your camera. Each manufacturer has their own dot three character extension. This is an MRW, which is a Minolta file format, back from when Minolta use to make digital cameras, and this is their own format. CR2, for instance, is what Canon has. Nikon has their own.
