Finding and correcting neutrals
I'd like to focus on evaluating an image of course based upon the histograms. But specifically looking for neutrals in the image. And remember how important neutrals are. We've been talking about how neutrals or grayscale values is what controls color. So when we're looking at color images and evaluating them, if we can find aspects of that image or areas in the image that we know are supposed to be neutral and then neutralize them. Then we know the rest of the color is going to be correct. So that's kind of our guiding principle here, neutrals. So let's look at our image and do an evaluation, first of just the overall histograms and then look at the content of the image and see if we can find some neutrals. And then see if we can't neutralize 'em. All right, so using our histograms panel, and let's just move everything over here a little bit since we've got a portrait oriented image.
