Decal image types

There are several types of images that can be used for decals. However, I find it ideal to use images that have a transparent background, if you're not going to have the image cover the entire surface. If you don't have access to a transparent background image. You can add a mass to the image to get the same or similar effect. Let's take a look at a few examples. I'm going to open up this inlay here. Open it up. And you can see this one has a couple decals on it right now. It's got the carbon fiber, which extends past the edges of that shape. And you can see, actually, there's a little bit of wood showing through, on the inlays here, as well as the edge of the part, because the underlying surface happens to be a wood color. Now I have a logo, that's sitting directly on top of that. So let's go take a look at what it would take to actually add a logo on top.
