Choosing an appropriate workspace

When you first launch Captivate, the user interface is made up of various elements. You'll see toolbars, you'll see panels, the timeline down below, for example. Over here on the right-hand side, additional panels or document window. All of these make up what we call a workspace. And we're going to talk about the various workspaces you can select from, even customize, as you tweak your environment depending on what you are going to be working on in your project. We'll continue working with our new blank project that we started in the previous movie and take a look at the very top right-hand corner here, where we see our workspace picker. Notice Classic appears there. That is the default workspace. So, what you see over here in the way of the filmstrip, in Filmstrip view, our timeline across the bottom; our document window, and the various panels on the right, are all part of the classic workspace.
