What are some of the biggest design influences in the automotive industry?

So, the influences for industrial designers can come from many sources. The multimedia and entertainment industry is a, is a huge resource. They have the luxury of creating some, some really outlandish designs because it's an entertainment. But in, in many cases we can actually use some of that information. We can, we can tap into it and say, you know, this would look great on a vehicle here, within reason, but can we make it manufacturable? Is it feasible? Another part that the multimedia entertainment industry is really influence designers is in the, in the world of visualization. So being able to visualize a product as realistically as possible, is key to a successful design. I can tell you a story. I was in Japan last year talking to one of the key players in the visualization solution providers. And he mentioned that the, the, the playing field for all visualization products, is pretty much the same now. So designers, and even the software engineers are looking for what's the next new thing that we can add into our software, that will make it easier for a designer, or more productive for a designer to use? So we can go from a perfect visual representation. But now we can add in products like computers, you know, computational fluid dynamics. We can add in the ability to do design reviews. We can dissect components. We can pick components up. And maybe we can do with stereo viewings. And now we have the ability to pick a component of a movie, so we can actually see as a holographic image. All of this technology built in, just tries to compress the design timeline. So that we can produce these vehicles in a quicker timeframe, which essentially reduces the cost.
