Adding equipment
Let's throw something big into our drawing, perhaps a cooling tower. As you're starting to see, you can grab any type of unit you wish and place it into your drawing. Once you've added the unit, you see you can select it and draw a duct and pipe or whatever you need. By clicking on the Equipment button on our Build Panel, we will browse the AutoCAD MEP library for a cooling tower. We will place it in the model, and adjust the default height to make it sit on the ground outside of our building. We will then route some pipe into the building. So to get started, let's open up our MEP-Mechanical drawing. Let's zoom in over here. This seems like a good spot for a gigantic cooling tower. On the Home panel click the Equipment button. Look at all the equipment we have to choose from. I wish I could put all in, in this video, but I just have to choose one. So I'm going to come down here to Cooling Towers and I'm going to double-click on this. I'm going to select Cooling Tower US Imperial…
