Plotting from model space

In a production environment, drawings are frequently printed so they can be taken to meetings or used as worksheets for redlining changes to a design. At first glance, printing from AutoCAD may seem a little more involved than printing from a program like Microsoft Word. That's because the geometry in AutoCAD is created at true size, and will usually require some scaling to get it to fit on the paper. In this lesson, we'll learn how to print a drawing from model space. On my screen is a drawing that represents a plative survey. Let's say I'd like to print this drawing to a letter size sheet. To do that, I'll use the Plot button in the Quick Access toolbar. And, in the Plot dialog box, I'm going to select a printer first. I'll do that by opening the printer menu. In this list, you'll see a collection of all of the printers that are physically connected to your machine. Now, I'm sure my printer list looks different than yours. Everyone's system is unique.
