Employing object-snap tracking
Object snap tracking, is like having temporary construction geometry, that erases itself after you are done laying out a drawing. In this video you will track points and snap to them, open the mechanical sample file in the chapter 6 folder and then turn on object snap tracking down here on the status bar. Its adjacent to object snap, lets also have. Ortho on. And then go ahead and click the line tool. Move the cursor over here to acquire a tracking point. The snap could say quadrant, end point or intersection, but all three, at this location, are coincident, so it doesn't matter which one appears. However, be careful not to click, because we don't want to start drawing. At this point. All we want to do is acquire the object snap tracking line, which appears when you move the cursor to the left. If it doesn't appear, go back and try to reacquire it.
