Creating hatch patterns by selecting objects

In this video we will create a hatch pattern by selecting objects. You can use this method when you're having problems creating a hatch boundary. In the last video I had a problem hatching this little area here because of this gap that appears in the lower corner. Let's see if we can hatch that by selecting the edges of the area in question. So open the mechanical sample file in the chapter 8 folder to follow along. And then click hatch on the Draw panel. Click select so that you can go into this select boundary objects mode. And select these objects with a window. Notice that it's only selecting those two arcs, the top line, and the bottom line. These lines actually extend above and beyond the area that I'm interested in. So this method isn't working yet. It's hatching all the way up here, and I don't want that. So I'm going to press Escape. And select the hatch pattern and press the delete key to get rid of it. What we first need to do is create a series of objects, supporting this…
