In Flash Professional CS5: Animation Projects, Paul Trani shows how to create dynamic and visually rich animations in Flash Professional CS5. This course demonstrates how to create and import assets, and then take those assets and bring them to life with dynamic motion. It also shows how to create more unique and natural movement by adding special effects, 3D, masks, and even bones to animate characters.

As part of our ongoing Flash training courses, we just released a new course that guides viewers through the steps to creating a web site with Flash Professional CS5: Creating a First Web Site with Flash Professional CS5. This project course is a good follow-up to Flash Professional CS5 Essential Training. It gives you a chance to practice your new skills, and results in a usable project that can be repurposed to suit your needs.

Creating a Portfolio Web Site Using Flash CS4 Professional by Paul Trani is a new course in the Library this week. I asked Paul a few questions about this highly anticipated course, starting with why he thought a portfolio web site in Flash is important.
“Creating a website in Flash is a great start for people,” Paul told me, “and the reason I recorded a course on that topic. After Creating a First Web Site in Flash was published, I got a lot of feedback from people who wanted to take it to the next level, by putting their portfolio online. Nobody carries their portfolio around anymore. The ideal situation is to just give someone your url on a business card.”
