Sometimes InDesign seems like it willfully ignores you. Like when you set an exact leading amount and the program completely disregards that value.
Well it turns out InDesign is instead paying attention to two settings that override whatever you put in the Leading field: Align to Baseline Grid and Vertical Justification.
