Every once in a while on Monday Productivity Pointers, I go over something you may already be aware of—but could use a reminder about. It’s that moment when you recall: Something I use every day has some really cool features and I should be taking advantage of them!
This week I’m talking about Google Labs, particularly the Labs in your Google calendar.
I’ll show you how to access Google Labs, and install a few that some of my lynda.com colleagues find invaluable.
It’s useful to re-consider these labs a few times a year. Even if you didn’t see the need for a particular lab the first time, you might find that your situation has changed—and now you can’t live without it.
For example, before I started working for lynda.com, I never needed to worry about scheduling meetings across multiple time zones. However, I’m on the East Coast and lynda.com is on the West Coast; so now I use a lab that displays any time zone you specify on the right side of your calendar, so scheduling meetings is quick and easy!
Watch this week’s free video and see if there’s a lab that’ll make your life easier. Then check back next week for more Monday Productivity Pointers.
Begin learning software, business, and creative skills—anytime, anywhere—with video instruction from recognized industry experts.
