Solutions Engineer

The Solutions Engineer is the key technical resource for our Enterprise Sales and Client Services teams throughout the sales cycle and implementation process. Reporting to the Director EMEA Member Services, the Solutions Engineer works closely with our customers’ technical resources and the implementation team to ensure a smooth integration and respond to issues as they arise.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Support our Enterprise Sales team as the key technical resource to understand customer requirements, promote the sale of our products, and provide sales support.
  • Support clients during pre-sale and post-sale implementation to ensure successful and rapid deployment.
  • Investigate and implement new single sign-on solutions (SSO) as required.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations that explain our products to clients and prospects.
  • Work closely with the product team to stay current on product features and platform changes.
  • Work closely with client services and web development to ensure success in the implementation process.
  • Provide input to internal product teams on customer needs and industry trends for product enhancements.
  • Work closely with technical support to identify, triage, and resolve bugs.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a technical support or similar position, or a bachelors degree in engineering or similar discipline
  • Proven problem solving skills and the ability to logically troubleshoot issues
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally over the phone and in writing
  • A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Previous experience supporting the sales process preferred
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, HTTP, and XML
  • Knowledge of web architecture and standards (SAML, SSL, TCP/IP) as well as protocols and formats, (DNS, SOAP, JSON) preferred
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Comfortable working in both Mac and Windows environments
  • Ability to work on many projects and sales opportunities simultaneously
  • Experience with the following preferred: web proxies, VPN services, web servers; single sign-on technologies; digital identity management; and
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support our global customer base
  • Self-motivated, creative and focused

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to: solve practical problems and deal with variables; interpret and/or follow a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form; use basic concepts to solve business problems associated with the role; use and understand computer programs to analyze and solve business issues.
