Zoe Gillenwater
Zoe Gillenwater is an experienced web designer, project manager, and technical author, active in the web standards community. She uses her expert knowledge of CSS, XHTML, Dreamweaver, accessibility, and visual design in all aspects of her career.
Zoe loves teaching web design as much as she loves learning and doing it herself. As a partner at Community MX, a web development training site, she contributes articles and tutorials on a variety of web design topics. She focuses on CSS, XHTML, Dreamweaver, and accessibility, as well as web page templates and forum support. Zoe is also the editor for Adobe's CSS Advisor website.
Due to her involvement with accessibility and other web standards, Zoe was invited to be a member of the Adobe Task Force of the advocacy group Web Standards Project (WaSP). As a government employee, she became skilled in not only ensuring Section 508 accessibility compliance for all her projects, but also going beyond to meet many of the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative WCAG guidelines. Zoe sees web accessibility as a web development best practice in its own right, regardless of rules and regulations.
