- Q: Can I have multiple WordPress sites on the same server?
- A: You can run multiple WordPress sites on the same server in one of two ways:
1. Create a WordPress Network (previously "Multisite" or "WordPress MU")
2. Set up several individual WordPress installations with their own MySQL databases
They each have pros and cons. A Network is easier to manage and is just one install, but it is tricky to set up and can be extremely taxing on the server. Multiple individual WP installs are harder to manage (especially with updates), but firewall the content for each site.
