If you want to be able to publish your Movie Maker project to a service that does not appear in the Share group, you can actually download plug-ins for a number of different services. We are going to take a look at those now, as we continue to work with our By the Sea project here. You can be working with your own file. We can go to the Share group on the Ribbon with the Home tab selected, click the dropdown, and you'll see Add a plug-in right there. You can also go to the Movie Maker tab, move down to publish Movie, and select Add a plug-in from here as well.
However you do it, it will launch your default browser and take you to the Windows Live page here for plug-ins. And some of these plug-ins will work with both Photo Gallery and Movie Maker, some of them just Photo Gallery for uploading photos. As you scroll down the list though, you'll see which ones work with what. For example, this one here at the top works with Photo Gallery. Live upload to Facebook, we already have. Photo Gallery and Movie Maker. Let's say you use Smug Mug. As you scroll down a little bit further, there it is: Publish on Smug Mug. That's not an option that we see by default in Movie Maker.
It does work with Photo Gallery and Movie Maker, so you just simply click the link to get the plug-in, and then you'll be able to connect to that service and upload or publish your movies directly to that service. That's all there is to it. So scroll down the list, look for the ones that work with both Movie Maker and Photo Gallery--as you can see many of these only work with Photo Gallery, so keep that in mind if you do like to publish to another service.
