Up until this point we have been talking solely about how shaping the picture editing can affect the audience, but there are two other tools that we use in our projects that have huge effect on how we feel. Music and sound. In the next few movies we'll concentrate on music then we'll talk about sound. We respond to music and to changes in music deep inside of us. Now matter what culture we come from or what age we are. So when we introduce a piece of music into a film when there was none before, when we change a piece of music internally, we are going to react to it. Let me show you a clip from another short. This is from a film called Monsoon, directed by Shyam Balse a few years ago. But as you know, the rule of threes tells us that the impact of a scene will depend on the scene that comes before it.
