Now apart from a tripod, one of the more important pieces of the support gear that I like to keep in my kit especially is a monopod. Now the monopod is very useful any time we have to do quick run and gun shooting. It has many of the advantages of a tripod but with the monopod you can be bad all by yourself. So if I need to run from one spot to another quickly. A few weeks ago in fact I just had to shoot a moving parade. It didn't stop for an hour, and I'm constantly running. That's the exact type of situation where a monopod really helped save me. because you just, it's hard to carry the camera all the time. So this is really helpful for that. Another tip I would give you with regards to monopods is that I always try to make sure that I keep my tripod heads of the same brand and type, so once I put a quick plate on my camera I can quickly switch between the tripod, and the monopod.
