Hi. My name's Rich Harrington. >> And I'm Robbie Carmen. >> And on this week's episode, we're going to talk all about mini-tripods. Now, we've got a wide collection of devices here. A lot of manufacturers make these. We've got some here from joby. And, whatta you got there? >> I got a joby that's pretty beefy, heavy duty one. And these, our guys are going to come in different sizes. Yeah. Here's even a bigger one with a ball head on it. And then you've got a really small tiny one that's perfect for something like a phone. >> Yeah. >> And the cool thing about these mini-tripods is that unlike sort of traditional, rigid legs on the tripod, the beauty about these small, sort of, ones like this is that they're bendable and flexible, so not only can you use it as a traditional tripod, but you can also do things like hang the unit from up high or around a tree branch or something like that.
>> Yeah, you can actually wrap these around things, so you can go around a pole. And you get that pretty tight, you know. An actually take that around the system and then stabilize it. Bend the unit. This particular one has a suction cup to attach to small electronic devices. >> Yeah. >> Now, Rob, you know what I actually find hardest about this. Getting these away from my kids because they always go in my camera bag. They've taken these out. They have giraffe battles and GI Joe is with this. And some how the hex bugs are involved. Its kind of funny but the kids seem to be attracted to these but I just love this as a production gear.
>> Their really useful,so Rich this week were going to dive into a little bit more of the construction and how these actually work, and we'll talk about some different situations where we might want to use one.
