Traveling and shooting low profile
- Next, we wanna travel and shoot low-profile. This means we only wanna roll with a tight skeleton crew of two or three people max. So, I'm talking the camera operator, a director-producer, and maybe a sound recorder or PA in addition to those people. Now, DSLRs and smaller video cameras are obviously a better choice than full-size video cameras, so we wanna use the smallest camera possible that will get the image quality that we need. And you also may wanna think about lens choice as well. Prime lenses are much lighter, smaller and low profile for stealth work, however zoom lenses will allow you to get off a greater variety of shots in a shorter amount of time without having to move the cameras much. Wrap the camera up in a large towel for cushioning, and use backpacks or gym bags instead of camera bags. Don't take out the camera until you need it.
