Running interference
- Now, there are two basic approaches you could take when it comes to getting riskier, attention-grabbing shots. I'm generally of the mindset that you wanna get as much as possible while you can, so I favor the approach of shooting out the simple and low-key things first and saving the specific scenes or shots that will draw more attention for last. So, scenes with people yelling, attention-grabbing props, physical action, etc. So, hopefully by the time we start getting too much unwanted attention, we'll already be done and gone. In the same vein, for the exact same reason, one could also make the opposite argument that it's perhaps wiser to get the riskier shots first, so you know you at least got the hardest part. So, think through the shot list and figure out which approach makes the most sense for your particular scene.
