Male 1: We addressed having permission and things in advance, but during an interview itself, you often need to get a release from your subject, or maybe from the location, right? Female 1: That's absolutely true. A lot of organizations I work with already have releases built into the organization. For example, school ssystems sometimes have an opt-out policy. Where a child is covered by a release, unless the parents have opted out at the beginning of the school year. But I usually like to still just go ahead and get a release, especially if the person is a minor, right on the set from the parent. There are also times when you just need to get those releases in advance. And the organization may have ones that they like to use. So you have to play it by ear to see which, whether you use one that you bring with you or you use the one that the institution has.
