Manipulating the size of buildings
- So those are some of the techniques to make people look bigger but now let's talk about how we can make rooms and structures look bigger or smaller. When it comes to emphasizing or exaggerating the size of architectural interiors and exteriors a wide angled lens is essential. A wide angled lens can be used to take in the full expanse of a structure from side to side and top to bottom. Shooting with a wide lens will exaggerate the size of any structure even more. When shooting interiors try to get as far back as possible, preferably the corner of the room so that you can take maximum advantage of the optical features of wide angled lenses that exaggerate the distance from the camera to the background by making the background appear to be farther away and therefore making the room appear larger on camera. Now another way that you can deal with small locations, if you want them to appear larger on camera, is to never shoot into a corner. So this is another example where we're breaking…
