There are many different types of lens mounts out there to choose from, and many camera manufacturers have their own proprietary mounts. So I just want to go over the most popular lens mounts used for the most popular cameras for shooting video. Now if you've only worked with fixed lens video cameras, there's not a lot you have to think about with regards to the lens, because it was the only one you had. However, when you move over to the world of DSLRs, and Hyorin video cameras that offer interchangeable lenses, there are a lot more factors that come into play. That you have to consider before buying or renting a lens. One of the first factors is the lens mount. In other words, we want to make sure that any lens we use will actually fit on our camera. This can be trickier than it sounds because different camera manufacturers each use a different type of lens mount.
