Hi, I'm James Williamson, senior author at lynda.com, and I want to welcome you to Up and Running with Typekit. In this course we'll be exploring Typekit, a popular online font-hosting service. We'll start by going through an overview of web fonts, font hosting, and how to get started with Typekit. Next, we'll explore how to use Typekit to choose fonts and how to build font kits for your sites. From there, we'll tackle using Typekit to deploy fonts for your sites and go through the various ways you can modify your CSS to control how fonts are applied throughout your site.
Finally, I'll discuss how you can stay current with Typekit and suggest some additional resources that can increase your ability to control typography for your websites. So if you're ready to get up and running with Typekit, let's get started.
