Hi I'm Maria Langer and I'd like to welcome you to Twitter Essential Training. In this course, I'll show you how to use Twitter to network, share information about your life and work, and promote your business. I'll also explain how interacting with other Twitter users could help enrich your life by sharing up-to-date information on current events, trends, and places around the world. This course starts with the basics, by showing you how to create and configure a Twitter account and how you can get started reading and writing updates, or tweets.
It then moves on to show you more advanced Twitter features, including lists, search functions, and trending topics to help you understand everything you need to know about using twitter.com. You'll also see that your web browser isn't the only tool for interacting with the Twitter. I'll introduce you to Twitter client software that works on your computer or mobile device. Whether you are new to Twitter or you've been using it for a while, this course will teach you what you need to know to make the most of Twitter.
