Making an audio call

Video calls are sometimes a hassle, having to make sure your background looks professional, fix your hair, change out of your pajamas. For a quick call or when calling landlines or mobile phones, you can just make an audio only call. Audio only or voice calls are just like video calls but without your webcam turned on. To make a voice call, click on the contact you want to call just as you would for a video call. I'll give Shea a call again. And in the conversation window click on the phone icon here in the middle. This opens up a call window and you'll be able to see that your webcam has a line through it showing that it's turned off. And when Shea answers.

>> Hello. >> Hi Shea. >> Hi. >> I can see her static profile picture right here during the whole conversation and Shea you see my profile picture right? >> I do. >> Great. Well while we're talking we can start an instant message conversation by clicking on this menu icon and choose instant message. And this opens up a chat next to her image. Here you can see information that might be easier to share in text rather then voice like URL's. So here's that site I was telling you about Shea.

>> Great thank you. >> Alright, when we're ready to say goodbye all we need to do is click the red phone icon to hang up. So thanks again Shea, talk to you soon. >> Bye. >> Bye. Now here in the call history you can see when we talked and for how long, and now you've made your first audio only call.
