Start drawing, designing, and rendering your ideas with SketchUp, the inexpensive 3D modeling toolkit used for everything from architecture to game design. George Maestri covers the fundamentals of the application, the interface, and how to model objects from scratch. Plus, learn how to texture objects and create simple animations.
All of the lessons work with both SketchUp Make, the free version of the program, and SketchUp Pro.
Now this course is going to cover the features of SketchUp Make. Which is the basic version of SketchUp. Now the great thing about this, is that it is a free program. So if you want to download this, go ahead to sketchup.com, and go ahead and do the download, which is right there on the front page. Now if you go to the products section, you can see also there's a page for SketchUp Pro, which has additional features that you have to pay for. Now we're going to cover these in a separate course, but if you want to understand the basic features of SketchUp, you can do it with a free version called SketchUp Make.
So, if you haven't downloaded it and installed it by now, go ahead and do that.
