There will be times when you'll need to present the models that you've built in SketchUp. In those cases you may need to add labels to dimensions that sort of thing. So let's take a look at the Text Label tool and it's called Text in the tools panel and it's this one right here. And it's really a very simple tool. All you have to do is just click where you want to label, drag and then click again. In this case it defaults to the dimensions but we can type in whatever we want.
So let's say we want to type in the materials and this is Fieldstone or something like that. All you have to do is do that and then just click outside of that and you have a text label. Now for one I can select this and move it around. But that's about all I can do. You really can't change the font or anything like that. But Again, it's very, very simple. So all you have to do is just type in whatever you want and then just click off of that and there is your label. Okay, so as you can see you can use this to label things in your drawing to draw attention to them.

Access exercise files from a button right under the course name.

Make the video wide, narrow, full-screen, or pop the player out of the page into its own window.
Click on text in the transcript to jump to that spot in the video. As the video plays, the relevant spot in the transcript will be highlighted.
