Using a Tascam recorder
As this market has gotten bigger and bigger, and the demand for better audio has picked up, many companies have created new products, and- >> Yeah. >> What I have here is one from Tascam, the DR-60d, I believe it is? >> Yeah, and this is kind of, a kind of hybrid product. It used to be that we had a lot of preamps that we could find out there from Beachtek and JuicedLink and that kind of stuff. And then we had digital audio recorders that were, you know, kind of like these, you know, Zoom H4N here where we can attach you know, microphones, that kind of stuff. And these came in varying price points. But kind of in form factor, there was nothing that kind of looked like a pre-amp, you know like a Beachtek or a JuicedLink, and was a recorder that attached directly to the camera. And this guy from Tascam is really unique. It's a little bit of a beefy unit but what it essentially allows us to do is combine IO functionality, getting stuff into the unit and into the camera.
