- Now I'm gonna talk about how we can correct or warm up skin tones. There's a few different methods you can do. Some will work for you better than others. One, I'll start off right from the bat, that I'm not really gonna show you, but I'll talk about, and that is makeup. You could makeup somebody a shade a little bit darker than what their skin tone is. This is fine for closeups or thing like that, but it's a little more hassle than you have to go through. I want to show you two other methods. The first and easiest method, beyond makeup, is to just change your white balance, of course. Right now I'm on the factory setting for Tungsten and I'm using a Tungsten light on my subject and the background behind her is also a daylight-balance source, but we have a little bit of CTO gel on it so we warm that up a little bit.
