- Although I'd like to always get multiple angles whenever I'm shooting single camera, it's just sometimes too hectic to do while shooting an interview solo or in a tight timeframe, where I've got my hands more than full just trying to shoot and conduct a traditional interview. Fortunately, when it comes to faking multi-camera coverage, the bulk of the job doesn't have to be during the interview itself. If you want to play it safe, you can just shoot a more traditional interview, but leave yourself 10 to 15 extra minutes with the subject at the end of your formal interview to capture a handful of key shots that we're gonna seamlessly edit into our final piece to make it seem like we had cameras in a bunch of different places at once. So for phase two of our interview, we want to mentally review the conversation we just had, because we're going to now re-ask one or two of the questions that got them the most animated and yielded the best sound bites.
