Choosing and connecting a lens adapter
- You know Rich, when it comes to choosing an adapter, the first thing you have to decide or rather know, is you're going from what to what. Now, it's going to be fairly easy to adapt DSLR-style mounts to another DSLR-style mount. If you're going from Canon to Nikon, you can go to Nikon or Canon, and that kind of thing. It gets a little bit more complicated when you want to start using older style mounts. So you know, sort of the, some of the C-style mounts, Leica mounts, you know, some of the Canon FD mounts. But the thing about it is that there's going to be a lot of adapters out there. Where it gets really confusing I think for people, is when people start talking about things like flange distance, - Right. - and the mirror box and all these kind of things. As a general rule of thumb, it's going to be really hard to adapt something like a Micro Four Thirds system or something like that where you have a very, very, very narrow flange distance that is from - Right. - the front of…
