The gallery is a cache of useful graphics, animation, activities, pages, themes and backgrounds stored on your computer. I'm now going to show you how to search out a picture in the gallery to be placed on your Smart Notebook page. At the top of your gallery is a search box. So we're going to go ahead and go to the second tab down on the side tabs, which is your gallery. And this is our search field that we're going to go ahead and do a search. In order to search something, I'm going to go ahead and launch my smart keyboard, and it's perfectly find to use the smart keyboard when we're doing, typing small words.
I wouldn't use it for something very, very long. So, I'm going to search the word dinosaur and I'm going to be sure to use the singular rather than the plural. You'll get more results if you use the singular rather than the plural. So, dinosaur. Okay. And, we go ahead and hit Enter. And you'll notice that this search has been completed. You don't, some, some people don't recognize that it's been completed but it has. I'm going to go ahead and close that keyboard just so we don't have to look at it. And you'll see that when we searched a dinosaur we came up with the following results.
In a related folder there's one result. In the pictures folder there are 11 results. And there's actually five Notebook Files and Pages. I'm going to go ahead and expand the Notebook Files and Pages, and see what we've got in that file and page. Okay, interesting. I'm going to, I'm going to go ahead and retract that one. And I'm going to expand the Pictures folder. Oh, that's what I was looking for. I was looking for a nice picture of a dinosaur, and I've got it. But I also know that there is a related folder for dinosaurs, so dinosaurs actually has its own folder and I could open up that folder and within that folder I've got a landscape that I'm going to go ahead and drag over.
So this is a dinosaur landscape, and I also know that within that folder, I've got various and sundry dinosaurs that I can go ahead and put on my page. Putting a dinosaur on the page is as simple as dragging it over, I'm just going to tap so that guy comes out there. My, my gallery retracted, so I'm going to expand it again. If I don't want it to retract, I can turn off the Auto-hide. And I'm just going to drag one more dinosaur onto my screen, there we go. And once you've placed those images on the screen, we can select them, and we can resize them.
This dinosaur is too large, and I'll put him right about there. And this dinosaur's a little large as well, and we're going to put him right about there. So it's that easy to insert a pciture from your gallery, which has 6000 plus options available. This is a great resource for you and your students.
