Editing solids with the Boolean functions

Next up, we'll cover the Boolean functions. If you've never heard the word Boolean, it's not a Cajun dish. It's better defined as math with solids. This process involves taking two or more solids and then adding them together, subtracting them, or differencing them to get a new resulting solid. It's really as simple as subtraction equals punching holes, and addition equals merging geometry together. Let's take a look at where we can find some of these commands. We'll start off with the solid creations, how you make solids. The Booleans are under Solid Tools, right next to it. So let's start off with a Boolean addition, or union, the terms are interchangeable a lot of software will call them one or the other, sometimes both. So we're going to start combining some of these shapes here in the Jet Pack. I should call it the t pack for turtle pack. So we're going to do the union on some of these brackets.
