In this video, we ramp up our coverage of materials by focusing on some customizations used in this 3D model. These customizations are applied to what's called channels, which is simply another level of the material just like the basic diffused channel. An important new strategy to understand is how we change the channel, typically all channels default will white or black color. Which will then control the strength of the effect. This is where you can pop in a map, just like we've already done for many materials diffuse channels. A common channel type is the bump, so let's start there. I'm going to zoom around to the back, where we have this leather material applied. I'm going to select it, and I'm going to go see where it's texture mapping is controlled by. So by default, it's not displayed, and here you can see the widget, which is perfectly sized.
