Adding sloped framing

It's good that we know how to pitch roofing installation for a slope through situation. A lot of the time, however, you're going to see a situation where the actual framing unit is sloped and the roof actually slopes to meet the framing at the different heights and offsets. This of course, can be done in Revit as well. The objective of this video is to create a roof that we would like to lie on top of our pitched framing. We'll then add the roof to the floor plan, select the framing, and allow Revit to basically break the roof and have it follow the sloping steel beneath it. So to get started, let's jump into our Revit roofs file, or you can jump into any file that you're working on that has sloped steel. Let's get started by adding a roof. The first thing we should do is go to the project browser, and let's go to our roof level. On the Architecture tab, click the Roof button. Make sure Defined Slope is turned off.
