Adjusting exposure compensation

- The exposure compensation command is very useful and quite powerful. It'll likely become one of your most used options as you shoot. I find that I'll use it when I'm dealing with tough lighting situations that can throw off the camera's light meter. Particularly things like light or dark backgrounds or really strong back lighting. This command is great for really controlling the tone of your photos. With exposure compensation, you can quickly adjust in fractional or whole stop increments. Simply turn the dial to change the exposure compensation. Turn the dial to the right to make a positive exposure compensation. Turn the dial to the left to make a negative compensation. Each one of these tick marks is a third of a stop. So one third, two thirds, plus one stop. You can initially adjust up to three stops on the gauge.
