Creating a publication for the web

These days information is often viewed online, over the web, so it's good to know here, in Publisher 2010, you can create web-based versions of your publication, so they're ready to be posted on a web site, for example. We're going to use our Science Fair publication here, and to save it in a web-based format, all we do is go to Backstage view by clicking the File tab and choose Save As. Now we can choose a location. We can choose a name. What's really important is that we choose the right type. I'm going to put mine on the desktop, where it's easy to find. I'm going to keep the same name, but the Save As type dropdown is where you'll find those web-based format, such as a Single File Web Page, and that's all you're going to end up with is a single document, for example, that could be posted on a web site. Or you could go to a Filtered web Page, which is going to create a folder with all the necessary items that would be required for posting it on a web site, such as the graphics, and…
