In this course, author Bobby Owsinski reveals industry tips, tricks, and techniques for producing professionally mixed audio on any digital audio workstation. He offers recommendations for setting up an optimal listening environment, highlights the most efficient ways to set up and balance a mix, and shows how to build a powerful sound with compression. The course also explains how to master the intricacies of EQ; incorporate reverb, delay, and modulation effects; and generate the final mix.
Now that you've made it through Bootcamp, your ear should be more tuned to what a good mix sounds like and your mixes should be better than ever. Like so many other things in life, mixing takes practice and the more you do it the better you get. The more experience you gain, the more you learn what works and what doesn't in a song. When you hear a sound in your head you have a better idea of how to go about getting it. Above all, have fun! You can sometimes create magic without it, but everything goes so much easier when everyone is having a good time. For some additional information in exercises on mixing, check out the Audio Mixing Bootcamp book published by Alfred Music Publishing.
You've now graduated Bootcamp, good luck and go make some great mixes.
