Welcome

(music playing) Hello I'm Maxim Jago. I'm a Premier Pro Master trainer, filmmaker, and author. I'm also the co-author of the official Premier Pro CS6 Classroom in a Book. And I've developed training porgrams for media companies of just about every kind. I regularly provide training around the world on behalf of Adobe, helping editors get up to speed quickly so they can effortlessly jump into their creative work. Everyday more editors are switching to Premier Pro and it's fast becoming the industry standard non linear editing system.

There are great reasons to choose Premier Pro over other editing software products. It offers fantastic format support, powerful real-time performance, unique integration with other Adobe Creator Suite components. And even compatibility with Apple Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer. As is often the case with powerful tools like Premiere Pro, there are several ways of achieving the same goal. For new editors, this can seem strange, especially if they learn one way, and then a friend shows them a completely different workflow. Which way is correct? The simple truth is that any workflow that gets you from A to B is right.

Some approaches are quick and simple, while others are slower, but offer more flexible options. Most editors don't want an immediate deep dive into an editing system. Instead they want to learn the course skills and a basic understanding of the work flows so they can begin creative projects right away. This course is designed just for that reason. If you want to get up and running with Premier Pro as fast as possible, spend a few hours watching this course and you'll be good to go. This course teaches you some of the most straight forward ways of achieving professional cuts. I'm going to share with you the core skills you'll use everyday. So you can quickly transform from total beginner to experienced editor. All you need to do is follow the lessons, and with a little practice, you'll soon be a confident editor.
