I'm just going to be honest. I hate noise. Noise on shots that otherwise look great, really kind of makes me cringe. You've put a lot of effort into making your shots look the best they can with the color corrections that you've applied to a shot, only to realize that either natively or because of the correction that you applied, you now have a lot of video noise in the shot. And noise is one of those things that I think a lot of people kind of just kind of just shrug their shoulders and say, okay, I'll live with that. In fact, there are a certain subset of people that like the look of grain and kind of noise. But grain is different than noise. What I want to talk about in this movie is removing that ugly, digital, noise that you see on shots that were underexposed and brightened excessively, or shot on cameras that were using high ISO values.
